We are perfectly located for access by various modes of transport whether by car, train, bus or plane.  The farm and its cottages are about 5 miles north of Newcastle in between the A1 and the A19, nestled on top of a hill with views of the sea and the Cheviot mountain range.

Directions to the Cottages:

If you need directions then please feel free to give us a call or for those with SatNav our postcode is NE23 7ND.  It's not difficult to find but here are some basic directions from the main routes in the North East:

By Public Transport (via Newcastle City Centre) - Take Metro train to Four Lane Ends metro station and then Bus No 52/53 to Cheviot Grange, Burradon, or from Newcastle City Centre to Cheviot Grange, Burradon Road, take Bus No X7/X8.  Walk eastwards (away from the village) along Burradon Farm Road to the farm where our houses and cottages are located (6 minute walk).  Our Reception can be found on the right hand side opposite the cottages.  Bus timetable information and route planners are available at

From Tyne Tunnel / A19 - Travel north to Moor Farm roundabout and take the first left (A189) south for 1/2 mile to the next roundabout. Take the second left turning - B1505 signed to Burradon.  Travel 1/3 mile up the hill and take the first left into Burradon Farm Road.  Travel along the farm road to where our houses and cottages are located.  Our Reception can be found on the right hand side opposite the cottages.

From Western Bypass / A1 - Travel north of Newcastle to A19 junction, then eastwards for 2 miles to Moor Farm roundabout.  Take the fourth exit - A189 south for 1/2 mile to next roundabout.  Take the second left turning - B1505 signed to Burradon. Travel 1/3 mile up hill and take the first left into Burradon Farm Road to where our houses and cottages are located.  Our Reception can be found on the right hand side opposite the cottages.

New Arrivals:

Guests may arrive from 2.00 pm onwards.  If your arrival is expected to be between 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm please call at the Reception to collect the keys.

If arriving after 3.00 pm please use the key safes - these are situated adjacent to the office and marked with a Reception sign.  To use the key safe you will require your four digit Booking Confirmation Number.  There are 8 key safes.  Use the key safe number as directed by the message in the adjacent white notice board.  This notice board also gives details on how to operate the key safe and a contact number should you have any difficulties.  There is also a convenient map showing the position of your cottage or house and the parking areas.  All the properties also have clearly signed name plates.
